These guidelines apply to film submissions made through the official RFIFF website or an authorised submission platform.
1. Submission Process
Filmmakers must submit films through the official submission process and provide the information requested for the selected category.
Applicants should review the category requirements before completing their submission.
2. Categories
The festival may accept submissions in the categories announced for the applicable edition, including:
- Feature Film
- Short Film
- Animated Film
- Student Film
- Mobile Film
- Music Video
- AI Film
- Documentary Film
The availability of each category is subject to the festival’s published rules.
3. Eligibility Requirements
Each category may have specific requirements relating to film duration, production date, format, language, completion status, or other criteria.
Applicants must follow the requirements displayed on the relevant category or submission page.
4. Submission Materials
Applicants must provide the requested film information, screening link or file, synopsis, credits, promotional materials, and any other required details.
All information must be accurate and complete.
5. Rights and Permissions
The submitter confirms that they have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the film and associated materials.
The submitter is responsible for obtaining any required permissions relating to music, footage, performances, photographs, and other third-party content.
6. Submission Fees
Applicable fees will be displayed before payment.
A submission is considered paid after the payment is successfully verified and associated with the relevant submission.
Payment does not guarantee selection, screening, or an award.
7. Evaluation and Selection
Eligible submissions will be considered in accordance with the applicable festival evaluation process.
Selection decisions and awards are subject to the rules announced for the relevant festival edition.
8. Withdrawal and Refunds
Withdrawal requests and refund eligibility are governed by the published Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Applicants should review that policy before paying the submission fee.
9. Communication
Applicants should provide a valid email address and monitor communications relating to their submissions.
For payment confirmation or submission-status issues, contact the festival with the relevant submission reference and payment transaction ID.
10. Changes to Festival Rules
Where necessary, festival rules may be updated. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate official channels, subject to applicable law.
